Our staff's expertise and teamwork provide the quality care and treatment necessary to nurture each child's healing process. Hillsides' programs and services are widely known and respected in the child welfare community.

Hillsides was the recipient of the "Harry Sheldon Community Service Award" from the City of Pasadena. The Los Angeles Times has honored our agency with its "Community Partnership Award" in the categories of Social Services and Volunteers of Distinction. In addition, the Child Welfare League of America honored Hillsides for work in the local community.

EDUCATION CENTER

In 1982, Hillsides Education Center (HEC) was established to meet the needs of children who required a special educational environment in which to flourish. Some of Hillsides' residents are able to attend public school; however, the majority need individualized attention to address both emotional disturbances and learning disabilities. The Center also accepts students outside Hillsides who have similar emotional and educational needs.

FAMILY CENTER

For more than 25 years, Hillsides Family Center has been providing mental health services for children and families in the communities it serves. Having been a pioneer in the field, Hillsides was one of the first agencies in Southern California to offer "in-home" counseling services to families at risk, who are unable to access services in our clinic. The mental health needs of families we serve have changed over the past years, and the array of services we offer has been designed to accommodate these needs.
